PR students document Media Hub
UNC Hussman's Media Hub provides students from various concentrations with a capstone experience to find, produce and market stories with state, regional and national appeal. This semester, 17 media outlets from the Charlotte Observer to the Spring Hope Enterprise have picked up students’ stories, which have been published 65 times to date.
While Media Hub journalists created professional-grade stories under the watchful eye of their professor and coach, John Robinson, a team of public relations and strategic communication students quietly documented their efforts.
Seniors Sammy Bowen, Amelia Fox and Lizzie Irvin, responsible for marketing the class’ work, created the 2-minute video to showcase the student journalists’ work – from classroom story meetings to river kayaking for a story on ancient cypress trees.
Watch their video below and read more about those projects at Media Hub. And don't miss Robinson's reflections on the class here.
