In order to receive a scholarship, students must be admitted to the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media as a MEJO major (not minor) and in good standing in the 2019-20 academic year. All applicants' status will be verified as of Feb. 1, 2019. Because funds from this cycle will be awarded during the 2018-19 academic year, students graduating in May 2019 are not eligible to apply. Freshmen with assured admission to the Hussman School are not eligible to apply.
The 2019-20 scholarship application will be open Jan. 1 - Feb. 1, 2019. The application will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
