Wells Society for Investigative Reporting co-founder Ron N. Nixon in the Freedom Forum Conference Center in Carroll Hall, 3 - 4 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022. Nixon is global investigations editor at The Associated Press and an award-winning investigative reporter who spent over a decade reporting on homeland security and violent extremism for The New York Times. He is also author of “Selling Apartheid: Apartheid South Africa’s Global Propaganda War.” He is a champion of diversity within the field of investigation as well as within newsroom leadership. ABIDE invites students, faculty and staff to drop in the Freedom Forum next Thursday afternoon with questions or just to say “hello.” Please reach out to rhema.bland@unc.edu with any questions.
