April 8, 2022, 10:00 AM

Investigative journalist Katelyn Ferral will meet with students April 8, 2022, at 10 a.m. as part of the “Holding Power Accountable” lecture series — a series examining the people and organizations holding power in society.

Ferral, who works with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, will talk about covering the conflict in Ukraine in this online event. Ferral was dispatched to Eastern Europe as the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

Reporting for USA Today from the Polish-Ukrainian border, Ferral has been chronicling the growing humanitarian crisis as refugees flood out of Ukraine. A 2014 UNC grad with a master's in political science, Ferral has also covered such topics as sexual assault in the military during her career.
