About Tia McCollors

McCollors, a 1996 Carolina J-school grad, has written seven books, the most recent “If These Shoes Could Talk: Devotional Messages For A Woman’s Daily Walk.”

Before writing full-time, she worked in public relations jobs at organizations that included Emory University and the State YMCA of Georgia.

McCollors began pursuing a writing career in 1999, and her first novel, “A Heart of Devotion,” was published in 2005. Following the birth of her son in 2006, she left the corporate arena to focus on raising her children and her writing career.

In addition to being an author, McCollors is an inspirational speaker and leads writing workshops. She particularly enjoys coaching women of faith, female entrepreneurs and stay-at-home mothers.

A native of Greensboro, N.C., she now lives in the Atlanta area with her husband and children.
