DEADLINE: Extracurricular activity funding application
Repeats every month on the 31 of August until Sun Mar 31 2019. Also includes Sun Sep 30 2018, Wed Oct 31 2018, Fri Nov 30 2018, Mon Dec 31 2018, Thu Jan 31 2019, Thu Feb 28 2019, Sun Mar 31 2019. October 31, 2018 (All day) Funding for extracurricular activities is available throughout the academic year from three funds: Don and Barbara Curtis Excellence Fund for Extracurricular Activities, Cole Campbell Professional Development Fund and Patricia Miller Moore Award. There is one application for extracurricular activities. Applications are due and reviewed at the end of each month — August through March — during the academic year. UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media undergraduate majors who have been admitted to the school are eligible to apply for funding through a wide array of awards made possible by generous donors. Applications and deadlines vary. Each application will close at 11:59 p.m. the night of the deadline. Please review guidelines carefully and follow directions. Awards differ from scholarships in that award amounts are paid directly to the student rather than to the student’s UNC account. Awards may have tax implications. November 2, 2018, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM 161 Carroll Hall The Hussman School hosts "Meet the Pro" networking sessions to help connect students with professionals in a more personal way. Students can sign up for a 20-minute time slot to meet the professional in Carroll Hall, chat, ask questions and receive advice.
