DEADLINE: Extracurricular activity funding application
Repeats every month on the 31 of August until Sun Mar 31 2019. Also includes Sun Sep 30 2018, Wed Oct 31 2018, Fri Nov 30 2018, Mon Dec 31 2018, Thu Jan 31 2019, Thu Feb 28 2019, Sun Mar 31 2019. February 28, 2019 (All day) Funding for extracurricular activities is available throughout the academic year from three funds: Don and Barbara Curtis Excellence Fund for Extracurricular Activities, Cole Campbell Professional Development Fund and Patricia Miller Moore Award. There is one application for extracurricular activities. Applications are due and reviewed at the end of each month — August through March — during the academic year. UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduate students who will have completed 45 or more credit hours by May 2019 and are in good academic standing are eligible to apply to the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media's undergraduate MEJO major for Fall 2019 enrollment. The Fall 2019 enrollment application will be open between Wednesday, Jan. 9, and Friday, March 1. (This deadline was extended from Friday, Feb. 15, to Friday, March 1.) Check out the MEJO major admissions FAQs for more information on how to apply, next steps and more. If you have questions, please contact mjadmissions@unc.edu. Cooper will meet with a small group of students on Monday, Feb. 25, in the Freedom Forum Conference as part of the “Holding Power Accountable” lecture series. “Holding Power Accountable” features journalists who are leading the examination of the people and organizations that hold power in society. Tours depart from the main lobby on the first floor of Carroll Hall. Feel free to reserve a spot in advance — or you can just show up! Reservations are not required for tours during the academic year. Spring 2019: Tours will be held on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. beginning Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, and running through Friday, April 26, 2019. Additional tours will be held on Mondays at 12:30 p.m. beginning Monday, March 18, 2019, and running through Monday, April 22, 2018. No tours will be held during Spring Break (March 11-15, 2019), Good Friday (April 19, 2019) and any other time that the University is closed (including inclement weather).
