October 7, 2020, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Zoom webinar Oct. 7 Foundations in Journalism panel engages students, alumni, industry leaders around concepts of impartiality, objectivity in news reporting UNC Hussman has built a module around the exploration of journalism values as part of its core course “MEJO 153: Writing and Reporting.” The school is opening up the discussion to the UNC Hussman community of students, faculty, staff and alumni. “Foundations in Journalism: A Panel Discussion of the Roles of Impartiality and Objectivity in News Reporting” is presented as a special Zoom webinar at 7 p.m. on October 7 featuring Hussman student journalists and a panel of industry leaders. Students Misha Maruf '21, Anna Pogarcic '21 and Brandon Standley '21 will lead the Q&A and discussion following brief opening remarks by the following industry professionals representing a range of career of experiences and platforms:
