Teresa Tackett is a doctoral candidate and Roy H. Park Fellow in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Her research agenda explores the political, social, cultural and ideological concerns affecting the advertising industry through the lenses of public relations, advertising, leadership, and social movements theories and concepts. More specifically, her dissertation explores how gender bias has produced inequities at the leadership level in creative departments, which created a space for the professionalization of activism across the advertising industry.
