Overview
Our master’s program in Chapel Hill balances training in communication skills, concepts and research methods. Specialized programs of study offer paths for students interested in entering the media and communication professions, professional communicators who want more education in a specific field and individuals interested in communication theory and research.

NEW FOR 2022-23: Our new, one-year journalism curriculum will launch in summer 2023. This is your chance to find out about that program of study, which features specializations in interactive design journalism, public life reporting and video journalism.
