Remembering Jay Anthony: 1945 - 2023

Jesse O. "Jay" Anthony ’71, who taught graphic design at the school from 1988 to 2004, died March 3, 2023. Below is republished from a Facebook post announcing his death with information about the celebration of life his family will host on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m.

Celebration of Life for Jay Anthony

Y’hi zichro baruch - May all who are mourning his passing find comfort in the knowledge that he will always be remembered for a blessing.

Jay Anthony passed away on March 3, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Juanita Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Kate Anthony; his children, Kelly Belval (Michelle), Kerry Sznajder (Craig), Tracey Anthony, and Jesse Anthony; his sister, Alison Schlenger (Hal); his nephew, Zak Schlenger (Natasha); his granddaughters, Kaitlin Sznajder, Sydney Belval, and Savannah Belval; his great-nephew, Caleb Prickett; and his great-niece, Gia Schlenger.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at Temple Kol Emeth, 1415 Old Canton Rd., Marietta, Georgia, 30062. The family will be greeting attendees beginning at 7:00 p.m. with the service starting promptly at 7:30 p.m. We will livestream via this link:
