Samuel L. Fulwood III, a 1978 UNC journalism alumnus and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., has been recognized with the 2014 Harvey E. Beech Outstanding Alumni Award for Overall Achievement.
He is also a member of the school's Board of Advisers.

Class of 2016-2017 starts fall classes

The M.A. in Technology and Communication welcomed its fourth cohort of students with orientation Aug. 11-12. While on campus, students got to know each other as well as MATC faculty, administrators and alumni. A panel of MATC alumni shared how they dealt with home/work responsibilities during the program, which served as great preparation for starting graduate school. MATC students began online coursework Aug. 19.

UNC at AEJMC 2014 in Montréal
