CNBC announced that Kayla Tausche, a 2008 graduate of the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media will join the network as a general assignment reporter covering corporate finance and deals. She will also contribute to CNBC.com.

Michele Norris, co-host of NPR's All Things Considered spoke in  Carroll Hall on Monday, Dec. 6. She also signed copies of her memoir "The Grace of Silence."

Students at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media produced video reports that appeared on UNC-TV's "North Carolina Now" Monday, Dec. 6, and Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m.

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education have named UNC journalism school's Chris Roush the 2010 North Carolina Professor of the Year.

The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media is launching an Interdisciplinary Health Communication (IHC) track in its master of arts in mass communication program. The new program provides students with specialized training in the multi-faceted field of health communication and builds expertise for applied practice, academic and research settings.

The site, reesenews.org, is part of an initiative to bring UNC’s journalism school to the forefront of media research and digital journalism.
