UNC Hussman faculty members appointed to professorships

Six UNC Hussman faculty members were recently selected for prestigious professorships in the school. There are a total of 16 such professorships that have been established to enable to school to recruit and retain top faculty talent and honor distinguished alumni and former faculty.

On Sunday evening, June 14, 7.9 million viewers tuned in to “60 Minutes,” CBS’ flagship news program, and saw University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz explaining the University’s plans to bring students, faculty and staff back to as safe a campus as possible in the fall. “The College Test,” a 13-minute segment produced by UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media alumnus and 11-time Emmy winner Draggan Mihailovich ’83, was the first news segment of the episode.

Noar awarded 5-year, $3.35 million grant to develop, test e-cigarette prevention messaging

UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media Professor Seth Noar has received a five-year, $3.35 million grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to lead a national study to develop and test messages that discourage adolescents from using electronic cigarettes.
