Hussman School changes curriculum requirements to give students more choice

The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media has updated its curriculum requirements to give students more choice and flexibility in meeting the school’s graduation requirements. The change is in response to consistent feedback the school has received from students in its annual senior survey.
 
The school will not accept any requests or appeals to drop one of the courses mentioned below because of these changes. 
 

Meredith Clark ’14 (Ph.D.) honored by AEJMC division for top dissertation

Meredith Clark, a 2014 doctoral graduate of the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, received a divisional dissertation award at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications conference in August.

Alumna, board member honored with University’s Distinguished Alumna Award for contributions to humanity

UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media alumna Jacqueline Charles was honored Oct. 12, 2015, with the University’s Distinguished Alumna Award, given annually on University Day to recognize Tar Heels who have made outstanding contributions to humanity. Charles, who serves on the school’s board of advisers, is the Caribbean correspondent and senior Haiti reporter for the Miami Herald.
