New graduate students arrive for orientation
The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media’s newest graduate students gathered in Carroll Hall this week for orientation.
Entering students in the Doctorate in Mass Communication and Master of Arts in Mass Communication and residential programs and the Master of Arts in Technology and Communication online program came to campus Monday. They met faculty, other students and program administrators; toured the school and campus; and prepared for their fall classes.
The MATC students took part in a second day of orientation Tuesday, when they tried out the tools they will use in their online learning. Students and alumni from previous MATC cohorts visited to offer advice for the new group of working professionals beginning the program. Photos from MATC orientation are available on the program’s Facebook page.
Fall classes will begin Tuesday.
