Elena Levithan serves as the planner and manager of all major events for the Hussman School of Journalism and Media, while also assisting faculty and staff with the planning and execution of other events.  

Elena holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Master’s in Recreation, Tourism, Sports and Entertainment Management from NC State University.  

Throughout her career, she has gained valuable experience in the educational sector, non-profit organizations and the biopharmaceutical industry.

She has had the unique opportunity to live and work in seven countries across four continents, in addition to traveling to 20 more.

Elena began her professional journey as an on-air host and reporter, with one of her most unforgettable experiences being her work for ESPN during the XXII Winter Olympics and the XI Paralympic Games in 2014.

She is thrilled to be at UNC Hussman and is incredibly grateful to work alongside the 13-time national champions.
