Jules Dixon-Green

NC Media & Journalism Hall of Fame publicist Jules Dixon-Green has over 35 years of industry experience in celebrity public relations, sports marketing, integrated communications and marketing, social media, advertising, diversity and inclusion strategy and crisis communications.

She has held senior communications leadership positions for global public relations and advertising agencies — working on major global brands including McDonald’s, Toyota, State Farm, USPS and Wegmans. She has extensive advertising and public relations experience in luxury goods, retail, fashion and lifestyle accounts.

Dixon-Green received MEA Magazine’s “Top 25 Women in Business” award among numerous other top-tier industry awards. In 2021, she was included on the prestigious list of the “28 Most Powerful Black Leaders in Marketing and Media.”

She is an award-winning teacher who has been recognized by the Morehead-Cain Foundation for excellence in teaching and mentoring in addition to being honored numerous times by UNC Athletics for her teaching and mentoring approach with Carolina student-athletes.

She teaches a range of classes including introductory courses in public relations and advertising, public relations writing, public relations case studies — and an entertainment/celebrity public relations class she developed that is popular with students and lauded within the public relations industry.

In her role as associate dean of student affairs at UNC Hussman, Dixon-Green provides strategic leadership and oversight for student-related and engagement initiatives for more than 1,300 undergraduate students with a student-centric approach that supports academic success and well-being.  She also serves on the University’s Administrative Board, representing students and faculty across the University.   

Before joining UNC Hussman, Dixon-Green was a guest lecturer at Howard University and the University of Maryland.

She is a longtime member of the UNC Hussman Board of Advisers, having also served as the Barry Saunders Visiting Professional at the school in 2019.
