- Click on My Academics
- Select View my internal transcript

You will re-declare any second majors or minors during UNC Hussman orientation, as long as you meet the UNC rule of three (two majors/one minor, one major/two minors, etc.) and the second major or minor doesn’t require admission by application.
If you have been accepted into the Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Gillings School of Public Health, or the School of Information and Library Science, please accept that offer in Connect Carolina FIRST. You will then need to email the UNC Hussman Undergraduate Hub at hussmanhub@unc.edu to ask that we manually add MEJO as your second major.
You are required to attend UNC Hussman orientation to be fully admitted to the school (dates/times will be listed in your acceptance letter). This mandatory orientation is held in the semester prior to enrollment and is required for all incoming MEJO majors prior to admittance to the school.
Students who are not accepted are welcome to reapply for a future enrollment period. When you reapply, it’s important to show significant change, such as more extracurricular leadership experience, more focused short-term and long-term career goals, stronger GPA and/or new relevant work experience. We strongly encourage you to describe these changes in the required essay section of your application.
Students with 75 or more cumulative credit hours should contact Dr. Stacy Outlaw, senior director of the undergraduate program, before applying for the undergraduate MEJO major.
No. Students may not double major or pursue a major and minor within the school.

Other equipment
The school equipment room lends photo-, video- and audio-journalism equipment to students enrolled in specific courses. Equipment check-out is done online using a tool called Connect2. You can access the online tool at equipmentroom.mj.unc.edu and login with your ONYEN. If you are not affiliated with the school and wish to check out equipment, check the Media & Design Center at the Undergraduate Library. Learn more about the equipment room.
Assured enrollment programs are available to incoming first-year students and guarantee a spot in an undergraduate major within a professional school. Students can express interest in up to three programs on their application.
Assured admission into the school allows priority registration for one MEJO course during a student’s first semester at UNC. Taking a MEJO course earlier than others allows students to unlock and access more of the school’s curriculum prior to graduation.
Assured Admission Program students do not need to complete the undergraduate MEJO major application but will need to attend a New Student Orientation session prior to their first semester at Carolina for admission to the school.
If an Assured Admission Program student is not accepted directly into the school or chooses to pre-declare another major upon enrollment at UNC, the student will need to complete the MEJO undergraduate application in a subsequent semester to be considered for school enrollment.
Transfer students who were accepted directly to UNC Hussman upon enrollment at UNC do not need to complete the application but will need to attend a New Student Orientation session for admission to the school.
If a transfer student is not accepted directly into the school or chooses to pre-declare another major upon enrollment at UNC, the student will need to complete the MEJO undergraduate application in a subsequent semester to be considered for school enrollment.
