“All the advice is going to set our group so far ahead and give us such a good opportunity for all of future endeavors that we can’t find anywhere else.”
“The networking! This is something that cannot be replicated online, so being able to meet people in person and build rapport and connection through personal links was incredible!”
“I enjoyed learning about the different needs of a newsroom. Through several sessions, we got to learn about just how expansive business journalism really is. Examples of equality, environmental and political reporting in our sessions broadened my understanding of the field and underscored the necessity of data-driven reporting on every beat. Also, the ‘Art of the Interview’ session was phenomenal in developing practical skills that we will be able to carry over in work as a journalist.”
“There are many valuable aspects of the program, but the diversity in this room was palpable. As soon as I met all my classmates, I knew we were all different but so essential for the future of news. We also met a diversity of speakers, news trainers, staff members, interns and new hires who come from different backgrounds and whose life stories were unbelievable. The best part were the conversations we were able to have.”
