Applications are now open for the Bloomberg Journalism Diversity Program, which is presented in partnership with the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media and the Department of Journalism at City St George’s, University of London.
During the program, students will have the opportunity to learn about business journalism and how to report on the economy, companies, financial and commodity markets, government and much more. We are accepting applications from undergraduate students currently studying at a UK university.
The 2024 UK program will be conducted in-person in London. All costs to participants will be covered; including travel, lodging and meals.

Applications for the 2024 program are due by 11:59 p.m. (GMT) on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
Finalists will be contacted for an interview via video conferencing after the application closing date.
The Bloomberg Business Journalism Diversity Programs have two aims: to introduce journalism students to the dynamic field of business journalism and to increase diversity among journalists reporting on business. It will provide participants unparalleled access to a leading financial news organization, as well as to some of the most influential people in the industry.
UNC-Chapel Hill has partnered with Bloomberg since 2017 to provide the Bloomberg-UNC-Berkeley Business Journalism Diversity Program at UNC-Chapel Hill and the University of California, Berkeley. The program partnered with the Department of Journalism at City St George’s, University of London in 2019 to offer a workshop for students in the U.K. The program has given more than 140 students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of business journalism.
