UNC Global Storytelling is proud to present the premiere of its multimedia documentary project, “Almas al Viento” at the UNC Fedex Global Education Center located at 301 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27516.

“Almas al Viento” is a multimedia documentary project produced by UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media students in partnership with the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. The multimedia documentary project covers the current state of the economic crisis taking place in Argentina and the effects it has on various lives and industries. 

During spring break, 28 students in UNC Hussman’s Global Storytelling program traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to create relationships with citizens and practice first-hand international reporting, photojournalism, video documentaries and interactive creations to develop their stories. The end result, “Almas al Viento” explores topics ranging from migration to the gig economy. 

The premiere is set to take place on Wednesday, April 23 from 6-8 p.m. in the Nelson Mandela Auditorium. Refreshments and snacks will be served prior to the screening in the Atrium. Limited parking is available.
