Behind the plate: Stories from a career in food writing with Kim Severson, New York Times correspondent

Join Kim Severson, a Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist for The New York Times, as she reflects on the triumphs and challenges of telling stories from the kitchen, interviewing chefs and covering moments of cultural reckoning. She will then invite students to participate in a lively Q&A about food, media and their generation’s tastes.

This talk, co-hosted by the department of American studies, the environment, ecology and energy program, UNC’s women and gender studies, the department of communication studies and the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, fulfills a CLE credit.
