Leadership in a health crisis 

UNC Hussman’s Health Communication and Marketing Focus Program will host Bruce Gellin, former U.S. deputy assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to discuss how responsibilities and challenges in a health crisis look different depending on one’s perspective.  

Gellin will be joined by John Wiesman, former Washington state secretary of health, who led that state’s response to the first known case of COVID‑19, and Joseph Grover, associate professor in the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine and director of quality for Orange County Emergency Services, who brings front-line crisis response experience.
