Media Law Society panel on careers in media law
The UNC Media Law Society will host a lunchtime panel discussion about the diverse field of media law, which encompasses everything from the First Amendment to telecom to intellectual property.
Some of the leading media law practitioners in the Triangle will discuss their career paths and share advice on job searches. Students will learn what media law looks like in practice and identify the skills and experiences that will help them stand out when applying for media law jobs. The panelists include:
- David Ardia, co-director, UNC Center for Media Law and Policy, and former assistant counsel at The Washington Post
- Teresa Artis, adjunct professor, UNC School of Law, and former V.P. of business affairs at Turner Broadcasting and general counsel at Capitol Broadcasting Company
- Brandon Huffman ’08, founding partner, Odin Law and Media, and general counsel, International Game Developers’ Association
- Ashley Fox ’17, ’21 (M.A.), associate, Stevens Martin Vaughn & Tadych PLLC
