NC Media and Journalism Hall of Fame
The NC Media & Journalism Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made outstanding and career-long contributions to the fields of advertising, journalism, media or public relations. Sponsored by the University of North Carolina Hussman School of Journalism and Media, the NC Media & Journalism Hall of Fame inducts individuals with deep ties to the state.
The 2026 honorees are:
- Jay Bilas, an award-winning college basketball analyst with ESPN
- Seth Effron, one of North Carolina’s digital journalism pioneers, creating The Insider in 1993 to provide in-depth and detailed information on North Carolina government and politics
- Luchina Fisher, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, writer, speaker and educator with a mission to tell stories that move the world
- Tamara Norman, U.S. chief executive officer for Ketchum, a leading global communications consultancy
- Charlie Tuggle, an award-winning professor at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media
- Curtis Media Group, the largest single-shareholder radio broadcasting company in the country
