Join PlayMakers Repertory Company for a showing of “The Shot”, a powerful one-woman show starring Emmy-nominated actor and UNC Hussman alumna Sharon Lawrence ’83.

Limited supply of complimentary student tickets: Students are invited to attend for free. This is a fantastic chance to engage with Sharon’s work and explore the intersections of storytelling, resilience and journalism.

The production explores Katharine Graham’s experience as an abused wife before her legendary tenure at The Washington Post, where she defied the U. S. government by publishing both the Pentagon Papers and the Watergate story. Her resilience set the stage for her transformation into an emblem of power in the media world.

“The Shot” will run at PlayMakers from Jan 7-12. Limited complimentary student tickets will be provided for the showing on Jan. 11. Tickets for all other showings can be purchased through PlayMakers.
