When Nothing Seems True: Information warfare and the fight for democracy with Jennifer Davis and Daniel Kreiss

Join UNC Global Affairs and the Center for Information, Technology and Public Life (CITAP) for a Diplomatic Discussion with Jennifer Davis ’94, ’97 (JD) and Daniel Kreiss on information warfare. Pizza reception to follow!

Information has become a tool, a weapon. “Information warfare” is reshaping how we understand the world, from politics and public health to business and education. This discussion will explore how governments use disinformation, misinformation and a lack of media literacy to sow chaos and distrust around the world. Leave with a deeper understanding of the forces behind the headlines and appreciation for the tools available to think critically in today’s complex media landscape.

This event fulfills a CLE credit.
