Evening Agenda

Talk: Human-Centered Design and Delivery of Usable Services by Carl Turner.

In a world increasingly driven by experiences, service design has emerged as a critical discipline. This talk will explore the nuances of service design, differentiating it from traditional product design and highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities it presents. We’ll delve into the core concepts of service design, examining the distinct characteristics of services compared to products. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of “usability” in the context of services, exploring how to measure and improve the user experience in intangible offerings.
To illustrate these concepts, we’ll share a case study of a large-scale organizational transformation at a financial services company. Discover how service design principles were applied to create a more customer-centric and efficient organization.
