UNC at Kentucky Conference on Health Communication, Noar to receive Outstanding Health Communication Scholar Award

The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media has nine graduate students, four faculty members and two staff members presenting at the 14th biennial Kentucky Conference on Health Communication. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky, from April 14-16.

Professor Seth Noar will be awarded the Lewis Donohew Outstanding Health Communication Scholar Award. The award recognizes outstanding research contributions to the health communication field made during the biennium preceding each conference. Noar has published more than 100 articles and chapters in the social, behavioral, health and communication sciences.

The Kentucky Conference on Health Communication thrives on featuring a variety of speakers, paper presentations and panel presentations. The topics that are typically covered at the conference range from individual-level health behavior risk reduction to media and technology-level issues.
