Angelena King

Angelena King serves as special funding manager in the Business Office at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. In this role, she supports financial operations, funding management and business processes that support the school’s academic, research and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining UNC Hussman, King worked in the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, where she served in the Controller’s Office Accounts Payable Division. Before that, she was an Accounting Clerk in the Division of Water Quality Budget Office, providing budgetary and financial support. Her background includes extensive experience in accounting, accounts payable, budget administration, financial compliance and fiscal operations within higher education and state government environments. King brings a strong commitment to financial stewardship, customer service and operational excellence, leveraging her experience to support effective fiscal management and organizational success.
