Dylan Howlett
Dylan Howlett joined the UNC Hussman School of Media and Journalism as an adjunct instructor in the fall of 2023. He is a 2015 graduate of the school, where he won the O.J. “Skipper” Coffin Award to the Outstanding Senior in News – Editorial Journalism.
Howlett is currently a writer and content strategist with Durham Academy and its yearly publication, DA Magazine. Previously, Howlett served as a researcher with NBC Olympics and contributed to the production of the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. He reprised that role as a freelancer during the broadcast of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and he provided editorial research before the 2024 Paris Olympics. Howlett also taught eighth grade science at Durham’s Maureen Joy Charter School for six years.
His work has been published by Sports Illustrated, the MMQB.com, ESPN New York and an assortment of sports entities.
