Sarah Rudlang

Sarah Rudlang is an Emmy award-winning anchor, reporter and adjunct professor at UNC Hussman. She anchors statewide weekend newscasts for Spectrum News 1 and hosts the weekly public affairs program, “In Focus North Carolina.”

Rudlang has over a decade of journalism experience, including roles at WDAY-TV in Fargo and WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. Her work has earned significant recognition, including an Emmy Award for Best Daytime Newscast as anchor and producer. She has received three additional Emmy nominations and won first place from RTDNAC for General News by a Multimedia Journalist in 2024.

Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, outdoor activities and adventures with her rescue dog, Mister.
