Exchange Programs
The UNC Study Abroad Office offers many semester and summer-long programs in which students are able to take classes for UNC Hussman credit. Six of these programs are exclusively for UNC Hussman majors and allow students to study at top communication schools around the world. These special programs are listed below.

Study Abroad credit
Students may fulfill some MEJO curriculum requirements while studying abroad, including:
- Two journalism or Ad/PR area of study courses at level 1, 2 or 3
- Two conceptual courses
- One choice course
Students may not fulfill core course requirements (MEJO 153, 121 and 340/341) or capstone courses (600-level) while studying abroad.
Students have taken courses for MEJO credit at a number of study abroad programs around the world. View a list of MEJO courses abroad that have been previously approved for credit. Students may find other options to earn academic credit abroad that have not previously been approved.
Not all courses have a direct equivalent and may be approved for special topics/skills courses (MEJO 390 or 490) or general MEJO courses such as MEJO —-. Students will need to request a study abroad Tar Heel Tracker adjustment for these course. Please use the form below.
