Attend an M.A. info session this month on Zoom
The Hussman School of Journalism and Media’s master’s program on campus at UNC-Chapel Hill offers specialized pathways to prepare students for the careers they’re seeking as communications professionals and scholars. We offer one-year areas of study in journalism and in strategic communication for aspiring professionals. Other students pursue a two-year degree in communication theory and research, which can be earned alongside a law degree in our J.D./M.A. dual degree with the UNC School of Law.
The application for 2026 admission is open now, and the school is hosting four info sessions this month to help you learn about our areas of study and the corresponding admissions processes:
- Theory and Research: Thursday, Oct. 9, noon (Zoom)
- Journalism: Tuesday, Oct. 21, noon (Zoom)
- Strategic Communication: Thursday, Oct. 23, 1 p.m. (Zoom)
- J.D./M.A. dual degree: Monday, Oct. 27, 5 p.m. (in-person/Zoom hybrid)
