CISLM releases diversity audit for North Carolina newsrooms
The Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Local Media (CISLM) has released findings from a statewide diversity audit of North Carolina newsrooms.
CISLM, housed at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, partnered with Elon University’s NC Local News Workshop in this effort to gain a better understanding of the North Carolina journalism workforce. The CISLM research team, led by Research Director Jessica Mahone, designed the surveys and analyzed results.
Read a report summary from Erica Perel, CISLM director, and Shannan Bowen, executive director of the NC Local News Workshop.
