Crisis reporting center rep to speak

Ann Peters, director of development and outreach with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and a 1983 school alumna, will meet with students Thursday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. in Carroll Hall room 11 to discuss the center’s independent, nonprofit journalism model. The Pulitzer Center takes a multi-platform, interdisciplinary approach to covering under-reported systemic global issues. Visit the Pulitzer Center’s Web site at pulitzercenter.org to learn about its projects and how it awards funding to journalists.

The event, which is sponsored by the Carolina chapter of Students for Meaningful Media, is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Phil Daquila at unc.meaningfulmedia@gmail.com.
