Tamara Rice runs Slice Interactive, a local website development firm which specializes in producing websites and graphics for small and medium sized businesses and non-profits. Prior to founding Slice in 2005, she worked as a web producer in-house at both The Weather Channel and National Geographic.  She honed her web development skills at Scient in New York City where she spent three years leading a team of front-end developers on such high profile clients as Major League Baseball, Johnson and Johnson and Pepsi.

In 2015, Rice began teaching at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, hoping to inspire a new generation of interactive media experts and enthusiasts.

Rice received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.  When she’s not working she enjoys cooking, reading and chasing her three crazy kiddos.
