James Herrighty

James Herrighty serves as the events coordinator for the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, joining the staff in 2023. He is dedicated to event logistics and creating welcoming and inclusive spaces.

Before beginning at UNC, he  planned and coordinated events over many years as a camp director with Schoolhouse of Wonder and the Boy Scouts of America.

He developed a passion for higher education when he worked in the Housing and Residence Life Department at DeSales University while obtaining his master's degree. He is excited to be a part of the Hussman school and greater UNC community.
