Stacy Outlaw joined the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media as the senior director of the undergraduate program in February 2022.  In her role, she works collaboratively with the Undergraduate Hub staff and oversees all aspects of the undergraduate program including academic advising and student engagement; global, immersive and professional programs; and career services.

Prior to joining UNC Hussman, she worked at Elon University for nine years as the director of undergraduate programs for the Love School of Business.  Outlaw has also worked in the academic advising program at UNC as a senior academic advisor for seven years.

Outlaw earned her B.A. in communication studies (speech & hearing sciences) from UNC-Chapel Hill; a M.A. in college student development from Appalachian State University; and an Ed.D. in higher education administration from North Carolina State University.  While she has spent time at multiple institutions, she will always be a Tar Heel at heart.
