2006 alumnus is one of nine winners of AP’s Gramling Awards for excellence

The Associated Press has named Feilding Cage – a 2006 Carolina J-school graduate – one of nine members of its worldwide staff to win a 2010 Oliver S. Gramling Award for excellence.

The awards, established in 1994, are given annually to staff members whose work and initiative contribute significantly to the news report and to overall AP operations.

Cage, an interactive designer in AP’s Interactive Design and Graphics department in New York, receives a $3,000 Gramling Scholarship Award that he will apply to mobile media and strategy classes at New York University.
