UNC photojournalism exhibit 37th Frame opens at Focal Point Gallery April 13

Photojournalism students in the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media and the UNC student chapter of the National Press Photographers Association will present the 37th Frame gallery exhibit from April 13-30 at the Focal Point Gallery in Chapel Hill.

An opening reception will be held at the Focal Point Gallery on April 13 at 7 p.m.

37th Frame is the school's annual student-run photo contest that showcases the best student photojournalism. This year marks the 10th anniversary of 37th Frame. Professionals from The News & Observer, award-winning documentary photographers and UNC faculty members juried the exhibit.

Students showcased include: Daniel M.N. Turner, Spencer Bakalar, Bryce Butner, Joshua Davis, Kathryn Faulkner, Terri Flagg, Cristina Fletes, Stephen Mitchell, Brittany Peterson, Allison Russell, Mimi Schiffman, Carolyn Stotts, Maria Van Aalst, Arianna van den Akker, Lauren Vied, Carolyn Van Houten, and Rebecca Yan.

The Focal Point Gallery — located at 1215 East Franklin Street — is open from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
