E. Ciszek, associate professor at the Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations in The University of Texas at Austin's Moody College of Communication, will be the speaker for a Mary Junck Research Colloquium event Jan. 20. We invite you to join us in the Curtis Media Center, rooms 201-202. Dr. Ciszek's presentation will run from 11 a.m. to noon. Lunch and a research panel for doctoral students will follow the talk. Advocacy, Social Change, and LGBTQ Research
This talk will cover research about and involving historically marginalized populations, specifically LGBTQ people. The talk will center both research methods and theory-building, by showcasing a recent research project about communication and sexual and/or gender minorities.
