Carolina J-school at the 2015 AEJMC Southeast Colloquium

Two faculty members and eight graduate students will represent the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the 2015 Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Southeast Colloquium hosted by the University of Tennessee College of Communication and Information March 26-28 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Carolina contingent will present 10 authored or co-authored papers and serve as moderators and panelists during the 40th annual colloquium.

Kevin Delaney, a third-year M.A./J.D. dual degree student, received top student paper honors in the law and policy division for his paper “Balancing in Light of the Purposes of Copyright: Whether Video Music Lessons Should Constitute Copyright Infringement.”

Jane E. Kirtley, the Silha Professor of Media Ethics and Law at the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of Minnesota, will deliver the keynote address "Are There Stories Worth Dying For? Assessing the Real Threats to Press Freedom" on Friday, March 27, at 6 p.m.
