Hussman School Professor Seth Noar honored with J. Mayhew Derryberry Award

UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media Professor Seth Noar received the prestigious J. Mayhew Derryberry Award at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association in Atlanta. Bestowed in honor of Noar’s contributions to health education research theory, the award recognizes outstanding behavioral scientists.

Noar’s research interests center on how to harness traditional and new media to promote healthy behavioral changes among individuals and communities.

Noar also serves as co-director of the UNC Interdisciplinary Health Communication Program and member of the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
