Life After -30-

How to Recast Your Journalism Career and Reinvent Yourself

Sweeping changes in the media profession have brought layoffs, buyouts and burnout.  It's a troubling time to be a journalist.  You may be wondering: What now?

The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media wants to help you answer that question.  The skills of gathering and sorting information, writing and editing it, and presenting it to an audience are still valuable.

In this free workshop (registration required), you'll learn how those newsroom skills and experience can help, not hinder, your transition to a new career.  You'll also get advice on rewriting your resume, preparing for interviews and using social media in your job search.
