Students visit NYC for fall break networking trip

The school’s Journalism Alumni and Friends (JAFA) fall break networking trip brought 18 students to New York City Oct. 16-18.

Students met individually with alumni working in their chosen fields. They tapped into the school’s vast network at a reception for alumni and friends at Brother Jimmy’s to watch the UNC vs. Miami football game.

The trip gives students an opportunity to learn from alumni and make connections in the field that can help them secure internships and jobs in the future. The school and JAFA will organize a spring break networking trip to San Francisco for next March. Learn more about the trips jomc.unc.edu/networkingtrips.
