UNC Hussman awards scholarships to undergraduate majors each spring for the following academic year. Graduating seniors are not eligible to apply. Please follow directions for applying through the scholarship application (linked below). All recipients will be notified by April 1.
Scholarships awarded for the upcoming academic year are transferred to the student’s UNC account at the start of the fall and spring semesters. All scholarships must be reported by UNC Hussman to the UNC Office of Scholarships and Student Aid and may affect the student’s financial aid. Funds may have tax implications.
How to Apply
- Complete a UNC General Scholarship application.
- Once the General Application is complete and the system confirms you are a UNC Hussman major, you will be directed to UNC Hussman Scholarship application.
- Completion of UNC Hussman application ensures you are eligible to be considered for all of the school’s scholarships, based on your answers and applicable scholarship criteria.
- Upon completion of UNC Hussman Scholarship application, you should receive a notice that your application was submitted.
- The scholarship application process opens on January 8 and closes on February 7. All applicants will be notified by April 1 of their selection status.
