Alumnus David Tinson '96 is senior vice president of marketing communications at Electronic Arts, a global leader in digital interactive entertainment with critically acclaimed brands such as The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FIFA, Battlefield, Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies.

Tinson leads a team of marketers and communicators based in two dozen locations globally and is responsible for go-to-market activations across creative content development, advertising, performance-based media, digital and social marketing, and event management. He contributes toward the EA’s news agenda, strategic messaging and executive communications as part of his corporate and brand communications teams.

Tinson has helped launch more than 175 products and services since joining EA in March 2003, and he has worked from both the company’s corporate headquarters in Redwood City, California, as well as at EA Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia. 

A native of Attleboro, Massachusetts, Tinson has previously worked in the athletic departments at the University of Texas at Austin and UNC-Chapel Hill, in addition to NBC Sports in New York. He has served as a press representative at the Olympic Games, NCAA and ACC Basketball Tournaments, several college football bowl games and American League Championship Series.

Tinson and his wife live in the Bay Area with their three boys.
