Alumnus Stefan Prelog '96 (M.A.) is currently a senior vice president at Rubenstein in New York City, where he develops communications and brand building programs for leading alternative investment managers, private equity firms, real estate investment trusts, investment banks and public companies using strategic public relations and digital media solutions. He advises companies and C-suite executives on critical communications opportunities and challenges including activist campaigns, litigation, regulatory matters and succession. He is a communications expert with more than 20 years of experience.

Prior to joining Rubenstein, Prelog worked as a director at Peppercomm, an integrated communications and marketing firm, where he worked with many of the firm’s capital market clients, including hedge funds, asset management firms, investment banks, wealth managers and investment advisers. He specialized in hedge fund launch campaigns, activist and crises situations, and media and investor relations.

He has also worked with publishers and authors to strategically position financial and investment titles across all media platforms and assisted clients interested in writing books with the various stages of the publishing process.

He holds a master's degree in journalism and mass communication from the School of Media and Journalism and a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications and political science from Rutgers College.
